Type mazterial. Agrilus vittatus Deyrolle, 1864 . Described from inexplicit number of specimens. Type locality: “ Célèbes (Makassar)”. Type specimens: Lectotype sex not examined ( MNHN): “Transcriptio [p] Vittatus HDeyr. Makassar [h] \ Muséum Paris 1952 coll. R. Oberthur [p] [yellow label]”. Lectotype by Jendek (1998).

Examined specimens. INDONESIA. Southeast Sulawesi. Buton Island, Wakarumba ; 4°55‘S, 122°51‘E; 2- 1994 GoogleMaps ; 3 ♂, 4 ♀ ( EJCB) .

Distribution. INDONESIA: Sulawesi.

Host plant. Unknown.

Remarks. Agrilus vittatus belongs to the larger species (5.5–6.5 mm) with pubescent perisutural stripes on elytra and with subangulate elytral apices. The species is distinctive by reduced membranous sensory zones of the parameres and by widely rounded apex of medial lobe (penis) ( Fig. 4D View FIGURES 4 ).
