Agrilus javicola Fisher, 1935 . Described from 3 specimens (Holotype & paratypes). Type locality: “Mid Java: Telawa (Semarang Residency)”. Also cited from Indonesia: East Java. Agrilus kelnerae Descarpentries & Villiers, 1963 . Described from 1 specimen (Holotype). Type locality: “Tonkin: Hoa Binh ”. Type specimens: Holotype ♀ (MNHN): “ TONKIN REGION DE HOA BINH [p] \ ♂ [sic!] TYPE [p] [red label] \ Agrilus Kelnerae n. sp. Holotype ♂ [sic!] nob[is]. A. Descarpentries et [h] A. Villiers det. 19 [p] 63 [h]”.

Agrilus theodasae Baudon, 1968 . Described from 1 specimen (holotype). Type locality: “ Laos: Vientiane ”. Type specimens: Holotype ♂ (MHNB): “ Vientiane x.[19]62 [h] Laos (Baudon) [p] \ Type [p] [red label] \ Agrilus theodasae mihi Type [h] A. Baudon det. [p] [blue label]”. Remark. Despite the fact that just a single holotype is declared in the description, some specimens in collections are improperly labeled as paratypes: 1 (HHCC) 3 (MHNB), 1 (USNM).

Distribution. INDONESIA: Java, Sumatra; LAOS: Khammouan, Vientiane prefecture; MALAYSIA: Sabah; MYANMAR: Mandalay, Shan; VIETNAM: Dong Nai, Hoa Binh, Ninh Binh.

Host plant. Larval: Albizia and Buchanania florida Schauer (cited by Fisher 1935 for A. albizziae ); Acacia gageana Craib and Albizia lebbek (L.) Benth. (cited by Beeson 1941 for A. albizziae ). Adult: Acacia tomentosa Willd. (cited by Fisher 1935 for A. javicola ). Very likely also larval host. The record cited by Kerremens (1896) “dans les tabacs” as A. cylindratus is not plausible.

Remarks. The synonymy of A. viridicupreus is tentative because some primary types are females and because of a deficiency of study material mostly from the insular Indonesia. The aedeagus of male primary types of A. viridicupreus ( Laos) , A. cylindratus (Java) , A. albizziae (Java) and A. theodasae ( Laos) are all of the same type ( Fig. 4A ) which, together with examined conspecific specimens from Myanmar and Vietnam, indicates that A. viridicupreus range expands from Myanmar to Indonesian Java. The female primary types of A. brooksi (Borneo) , A. javicola (Java) , A. cariosulus (Java) and A. kelnerae ( Vietnam) are tentatively treated as conspecific with A. viridicupreus until proven otherwise. The reason is the lack of diagnostic characters of female specimen which prevents conclusive identification. For the ultimate resolution of this problem, additional material, employment of molecular techniques and/or fixation of neotypes is needed. See also Remarks under A. babaulti .
