Key to the Brazilian species of Tenuipalpus based on females

Variations occur in the setation of tibiae I and II in some specimens of T. bacuri Flechtmann and Noronha. These variations, 4 or 5 setae, were observed among different specimens as well as in the same specimen in relation to the left and right legs. The same applies to the setal count on trochanter III: 1 seta in a few specimens, 2 setae in most females (C.H.W. Flechtmann, personal communication).
