Kultiviert (noch im Garten des Simplonhospizes, 1997 m) und öfters auf Schutt usw. verschleppt. Ruderal beobachtet z. B.: Simplon-Dorf (Becherer 1941); Alte Kaserne in der Gondoschlucht (idem 1941); bis in die alpine Stufe: beim Hotel Riffelberg ob Zermatt, 2565 m, ein Exemplar (idem 1950).
