Type locality. Mexico. Distribution. Mexico (Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán [new record], Morelos).

Remarks. Most species of this genus are distributed in Mexico; only Canidia cincticornis cincticornis Thomson, 1857 is not recorded from Mexico ( Monné 2024b). In Michoacán, only C. ochreostictica (Dillon, 1956) has been recorded. However, it differs from O. spinicornis by the pronotal disk sparsely punctate (densely punctate in O. spinicornis ) and the integument reddish brown (darker in O. spinicornis ).
