Rickia euzerconalis Thaxter, Proceedings View in CoL of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences 48: 378, 1912.
Known distribution. A widespread species parasitic on Euzercon spp. (Acarina, Euzerconidae ) from Cameroon, Trinidad (type) and Solomon Islands ( Thaxter 1926).
New record from Sierra Leone. Eastern Province, Tama Forest Reserve, 15–16.V.1991, W. Rossi , on a few specimens of Microeuzercon sp. associated with Didimus nachtingali (Kuwert) ( Passalidae ).
Remarks. The scarcity of the previous scattered records (only one for each continent) is more likely due to a lack of investigation rather than to a real rarity of the parasite
