Glaucopterum nitrarium Li & Liu, 2014b: 391 . New synonymy.

Li & Liu (2014b) described Glaucopterum nitrarium from Ningxia and Inner Mongolia provinces of China and reported Nitraria spp. (Nitraricaeae) as its host. Differential diagnosis provided in the original description is based on comparison with G. gobicum and G. muminovi . However, more closely related congeners were not discussed in the description, although one species, Glaucopterum putshkovi Kerzhner shows no distinctions from G. nitrarium . Both species feed on Nitraria spp., have essentially the same color pattern, sizes, and comparatively long antennal segment II. Both species were described from fairly close localities in Gobi desert. Many Glaucopterum species can be effectively distinguished only by the structure of apical blades of the vesica, which are also identical in G. nitrarium as compared to G. putshkovi ( Fig. 2 , also compare Fig. 9 in Li & Liu and Figs. 51, 54 in Kerzhner 1984). Therefore Glaucopterum nitrarium Li & Liu is here synonymized with G. putshkovi Kerzhner.
