Tuponia (Chlorotuponia) kiritshenkoi Drapolyuk, 1982 View in CoL ( Figures 7–8 View FIGURES 1 – 11 )

Tuponia kiritshenkoi Drapolyuk, 1982: 158 View in CoL .

Tuponia virentis Li & Liu, 2016: 116 . New synonymy.

Tuponia virentis Li & Liu was described from Erenhot, Inner Mongolia Prov. In describing T. virentis, Li & Liu noted that it is similar to T. kiritshenkoi View in CoL in the coloration of dorsum and vesica shape but differing from that species in the position of the secondary gonopore, entirely sclerotized vesica, and the absence of gonopore sclerite. However, the proof for this statement is unclear. The vesica of T. kiritshenkoi View in CoL is devoid of membranous areas ( Figs. 7–8 View FIGURES 1 – 11 ), while the gonopore sclerite is absent in all Tuponia View in CoL spp. Tuponia kiritshenkoi View in CoL is known from Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and several localities in South Mongolia, close to the border with the Inner Mongolian province of China ( Konstantinov & Namyatova 2008). I have compared the original description of T. virentis to material of T. kiritshenkoi View in CoL from various localities and find these species indistinguishable and conspecific.
