Material examined. Jalisco. Bahía Chamela, San Andrés (19°32’47”N, 105°06’33”W), Apr 24, 2009, 3 m, rocks on sand, SCUBA diving, 1 female (TL 25 mm) (EMU 9276).

Distribution. Bahía Concepción and Guaymas, Gulf of California, Mexico, to Ensenada Utría, Colombia; Galápagos, Clarión and Clipperton islands (Salgado-Barragán & Hendrickx 1998; Murillo-Bohórquez & Álvarez- León 2004).

Remarks. According to Hendrickx & Salgado-Barragán (2002), this is the species of Neogonodactylus with the wider latitudinal range in the East Pacific. The material from Bahía Chamela corresponds to the first report of this species for the coast of Jalisco.
