Notes:—The locality indicated in the protologue reads: “Hab. in fissuris rupium alpis Kuh-Daëna Persiae australis (Ky. 493!) Fl. Jun.” Lack (1980: 44) designated as the lectotype a specimen collected by Kotschy and kept at G-BOIS. Unfortunately, this specimen was lost, and therefore a new lectotype had to be designated. Since there were other isotypes kept at the G general herbarium, we chose as the lectotype the specimen that morphologically agrees best with the protologue and bears mature capitula.
