Diagnosis. The male genital capsule of the group is characterised by the large ventral costal lobe bearing processes or dentation, the broad cucullus bearing processes of various shapes, and the lack of a distal saccular process. The vesica is sack-like with several short diverticula and fields of granulation. In the female genitalia, the lateral subostial lobes are elongate, heavily sclerotised and rugose, the corpus bursae is pyriform and densely covered with fine spinulose scobination, and the appendix bursae is conical and situated laterally.
