Genus Amithao Thomson, 1878

Cotinis cavifrons Burmeister, 1842: 263 . Lectotype male ( Fig. 6 ) at MLUH, labeled: my red lectotype label. Lectotype here designated.

This specimen is in the Burmeister collection and lacks any labels. Burmeister’s description was based on two specimens, a male and female. The location of the female specimen remains unknown.
