Taeniogonalos Schulz, 1906: 212 . Type species (by monotypy): Trigonalys maculata Smith, 1851 . See Binoy et al. (2022) for complete synonymy.
Diagnosis. Antennae filiform with 21–26 antennomeres. Male flagellomeres 8 th –16 th with linear tyloids. Supra-antennal elevation reduced and far separated. Fore wing often with subapical dark patch. Second metasomal sternite simple, expanded, often with armature. Third sternite without projection or armature.
Distribution. Afrotropical, Oriental, East Palaearctic, Nearctic, Australian and Neotropical regions.
