Diagnosis. Head capsule with small but prominent ocular tubercles; anterior margin of the clypeo-labrum with a deep incision; head capsule covered with dolichasters; mandibles elongated, provided with 3 teeth; the median tooth is the largest and closer to the apical tooth than to the basal tooth; numerous setae and pseudo-teeth are present between teeth; external margin of the mandibles thickly covered by short setae; labial palpi foursegmented, segments 2-4 longer than the width of the mandible; pronotum covered with short dolichasters; spiracles sessile; thorax equipped with pedunculated setiferous processes; metathoracic legs with a fringe of setae; VIII abdominal sternite with vestigial odontoid processes; IX abdominal sternite equipped with small rastra each bearing four digging setae, of which the internal pairs are shorter than the others.
