(2011): 55 [Check-list of Brazil].
Buenoa paranaensis: Nieser and Melo (1997) : 79 [Wrong spelling; Key to Buenoa of Minas Gerais, Brazil]; Souza et al. (2006): 809 [Survey: Mariana ( Brazil)].
Comments. Buenoa paranensis is a little-known species, occurring in the North Region (State of Tocantins) recorded by Truxal (1957).
The description by Jaczewski (1928) lacks important information about characteristics currently used to identify the species of the genus, such as the relation between head width and vertex width, the length of the rostral prong, the amount of stridulatory ridges on the fore femur, and the relation between length and width of the fore femur. The original illustration of the rostrum renders conclusions about the proportion of the third rostral segment and rostral prong difficult. Because of these omissions, this species needs to be redescribed.
