Type material. Female holotype from Central (11°01’-11°19’S, 41°47’-42°10’W), Bahia, Brazil, July 15-31, 2002, E.F. Ramos, F.S. Cunha, deposited in IBSP 67417 PBI_ OON 25998 .

Etymology. The specific name refers to the dense punctuated sternum of this species.

Diagnosis. The species resembles C. adaga sp. nov. and C. pauferro sp. nov. by the shape of the female genitalia ( Fig. 93H View FIGURES 93 ), it can be distinguished by the sternal microsculpture, densely punctuated ( Fig. 93F View FIGURES 93 ).

Description. Male. Unknown.

Female ( PBI _OON 25998). Total length: 1.62. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace dark red-brown, ovoid in dorsal view, pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica granulate, sides granulate; lateral margin without denticles. Clypeus straight in front view, high, ALE separated from edge of carapace by their radius or more, around AME diameter. Eyes relatively large, all subequal; ALE separated by more than their diameter, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Sternum orange-brown, fused to carapace, furrow with rows of small pits, surface finely punctuate, microsculpture covering entire surface, posterior margin not extending posteriorly of coxae IV, very large rows of pits at furrows; setae originating from surface. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium dark red-brown. paturon inner margin with short inter-digitating setae. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. ABDOMEN: rounded posteriorly; dorsum soft portions pale white. Pedicel scutopedicel region with paired curved scutal ridges, plumose setae absent, ridge double, dorsal one larger. Dorsal scutum dark red-brown, middle surface punctate, sides punctate, slightly rugose between punctations. Postepigastric scutum dark red-brown, long, semicircular. Spinneret scutum large. LEGS: orange-brown. GENITALIA: internal genitalia general shape subquadrate, lateral apodemes narrow, long and curved; anterior area almost straight, rounded receptaculum ( Fig. 93H View FIGURES 93 ).

Other material examined. None.

Distribution. This species is only known from the type locality in Brazil.
