Type material. Male holotype and female paratype from Parque Nacional del Iguazú, Misiones, Argentina, Feb. 8, 1995 to Feb. 15, 1995, M. Ramírez, deposited in MACN PBI _ OON 25552 ). Paratypes: Parque Nacional del Iguazú , Cataratas de Iguazú, en Caraguata aerea, Misiones, Argentina, Oct. 1, 1954, Schiapelli, De Carlo, 2♂, 1♀ ( MACN PBI _ OON 25551) .

Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality. It is to be treated as a noun in apposition.

Diagnosis. This species resembles C. boraceia sp. nov.; males can be distinguished from the last by the laterally flattened conductor bearing a dorsodistally indentation ( Fig. 83H View FIGURES 83 ) rather than be narrow and sharp pointed as in the species above ( Figs 76 View FIGURES 76 G-H). Females can be distinguished from the above cited species by the shape of the internal genitalia ( Figs 78H View FIGURES 78 , 85H View FIGURES 85 ) with gradually narrowing apodemes, broad globular appendix and a lip-like posterior border.

Description. Male ( MACN PBI _OON 25552). Total length: 1.51. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace dark redbrown, broadly oval in dorsal view, pars cephalica strongly elevated in lateral view, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica granulate, sides granulate; lateral margin without denticles. Clypeus curved downwards in front view, high, ALE separated from edge of carapace by their radius or more, less than ALE diameter. Eyes relatively large, all subequal; ALE separated by more than their diameter, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Sternum orange-brown, fused to carapace, furrow with rows of small pits, surface smooth, microsculpture covering entire surface, anterior margin with continuous transverse groove, posterior margin not extending posteriorly of coxae IV, punctate at posterior end; setae originating from surface. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium dark red-brown. Chelicerae anterior face unmodified; retromargin without teeth; fangs without tooth-like projections; paturon inner margin with brush, laminate groove absent. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. Endites: anteromedian part forming a groove between serrula and the apical portion. ABDOMEN: rounded posteriorly; dorsum soft portions pale white. Pedicel scuto-pedicel region with paired curved scutal ridges, plumose setae absent. Dorsal scutum dark red-brown, middle surface punctate, sides punctate. Epigastric scutum: anterior spiracles secondary openings at level of epigastric furrow under a fold, inconspicuous. Postepigastric scutum dark red-brown, long, semicircular, without posteriorly directed lateral apodemes. Spinneret scutum large. LEGS: orange-brown. GENI- TALIA: Epigastric region with sperm pore oval, situated in front of anterior spiracles, rebordered. Palp proximal segments orange-brown. Conductor with dorsally incised and subquadrate tip; embolar tip a short translucent tube with short embolar distal process; embolar prolateral process well-sclerotized with translucent dorsal area and undulate tip ( Figs 83G View FIGURES 83 ̅H, 84A̅D).

Female ( MACN PBI _OON 25551). Total length: 1.59. As in male except as noted. CEPHALOTHORAX: Mouthparts: paturon inner margin with short inter-digitating setae. GENITALIA: internal genitalia of trapezoidal shape subquadrate, lateral apodemes straight, triangular, narrowing towards end; anterior area with large unsymmetrical globular appendix; rounded receptaculum, receptaculum cavity expanded posteriorly into a lip-liker border ( Fig. 85H View FIGURES 85 ).
