gen. nov.

Corollpachymeridium gen. nov.

Etymology. Genus name is a combination of the Latin Coroll- (‘coronal’) and Pachymeridium (the type genus of this family). Gender feminine.

Type species. Corollpachymeridium heteroneurus sp. nov.

Diagnosis. Body of medium size. Head pentagonal, wider than long, longer than pronotum; eyes round, projecting over the lateral sides of head, widely separated, situated at subjacent of head length, postocular utmost PLATE 1. Peregrinpachymeridium comitcola gen. et sp. nov. Scale bar represents 5 mm. a. Holotype, 3, CNU-HET- NN2010178P; b. Holotype, 3, CNU-HET-NN2010178C; c. paratype, Ƥ, CNU-HET-NN2010177P; d. paratype, Ƥ, CNU-HET- NN2010177C.

short, ocelli situated near to level of posterior margins of eyes, interocellar space narrower than interocular space; rostrum extending to the middle of mid coxae and hind coxae, segments of similar thickness; antenna longer than head and pronotum combined, first segment shortest, not extending beyond apex of head, second subequal in length to third and fourth, fourth fusiform. Pronotum trapezoidal, transverse, with collar; scutellum triangular, shorter than pronotum at median line, wider than long; coxae and trochanter rounded triangular, fore coxae situated remote from mid coxae, mid and hind coxae situated near to each other, femora thicker than tibiae, fore and mid femora slightly shorter than corresponding tibiae in length, hind tibia distinctly longer than hind femur, apex of tibiae without setae; tarsi 3-segmented, subequal in thickness, third longest, second feebly shorter than third. Hemelytron macropterous, apical margin rounded, extending not beyond tip of abdomen, anterior margin of corium distinctly longer than half of hemelytron length, corium venation clearly, C present, R and M diverging at one point, Sc at another point and the two points are close to each other; clavus large, claval commissure longer than scutellum; membrane with 5 free wide veins, arising from cross veins at corium-membrane boundary joined, base of membrane with clear marking. Abdomen oval, wider than pronotum; ovipositor long.

Remarks. The genus is different from all genera in the family described so far. The unique characters are as follows: R and M diverging at a single point, Sc at another near point; postocular utmost short.

Compared with other contemporaneous genera found in the same locality, the different characters of Corollpachymeridium gen. nov. are summarized as follows:

Compared with Sinopachymeridium Yao et al., 2006 : rostrum extending to the middle of mid coxae and hind coxae (vs. beyond hind coxae); membrane with 5 free wide veins, with clear marking (vs. with 7 free wide veins, no marking)

Compared with Nitculus Yao et al., 2008: with collar (vs. without collar); membrane with 5 free wide veins, with clear marking (vs. with 6 free wide veins, no marking); antenna second subequal in length to third and fourth (vs. second feebly longer than third, third feebly longer than fourth)

Compared with Viriosinervis Yao et al., 2008: with collar (vs. without collar); membrane with 5 free wide veins, with clear marking (vs. with 7 free wide veins, no marking); C connected with Sc in front of costal fracture, R and C+Sc connected with membrane at two different points (vs. C connected with Sc in front of costal fracture, R connected with C+Sc at apex of corium, R+C+Sc connected with membrane)

Compared with Peregrinpachymeridium gen. nov.: forewing not extending beyond abdomen tip (vs. extending beyond abdominal tip); rostrum extending to the middle of mid coxae and hind coxae (vs. extending to the hind coxae); antenna second subequal in length to third and fourth (vs. second feebly longer than third, third feebly longer than fourth); pronotum nearly 2.69 times as wide as long, (vs. nearly 31.73/Ƥ2.25 times); membrane with 5 free wide veins (vs. with 6 free wide veins)

Distribution. China.
