Geographical distribution: Suriname and Brazil.
Distribution in Brazil: North Region (AM) ( Truxal 1953; Nieser 1970b).
Comments: This species was mistakenly recorded from PB [as B. amnigenus (White, 1879) ] by Truxal (1953). The material was collected by A. M. Olalla on “Vic. João Pessoa, River Juruá,” a locality on Eirunepé Municipality (AM), not João Pessoa Municipality (PB).
