Paracyriothasastes Breuning, 1978 View in CoL

Paracyriothasastes Breuning, 1978: 5 View in CoL . Type species: Cereopsius marmoreus Pascoe, 1857 View in CoL , by original designation.

Uraechoides Breuning, 1981: 73 View in CoL . Type species: Uraechoides vivesi Breuning, 1981 View in CoL , by original designation. syn. nov.

Breuning (1978) removed Cereopsius marmoreus Pascoe, 1857 View in CoL from Cereopsius Pascoe, 1862 View in CoL based on the middle tibia having a fairly prominent dorsal groove and established Paracyriothasastes View in CoL for this species. Breuning (1981) established Uraechoides View in CoL for Uraechoides vivesi Breuning, 1981 View in CoL , and placed Uraechoides View in CoL in the tribe Agniini (a junior synonym of Lamiini View in CoL ). After comparing photographs of the holotypes of these two species ( Cereopsius marmoreus View in CoL , Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–5 and Uraechoides vivesi View in CoL , Figs 2–5 View FIGURES 1–5 ), we consider these two species as identical. Thus Uraechoides Breuning, 1981 View in CoL should be treated as a junior synonym of Paracyriothasastes Breuning, 1978 View in CoL .
