Type material. The type material seems to be lost. National Mining University , Dnipropetrovsk ( Ukraine) .

Type locality. Kerch ( Russia) .

Stratigraphy. Late Miocene, early Maeotian.

Discussion. A specimen of P. taitboutii with two narrow-spaced and raised spiral cords, which lacks axial sculpture.
