Type material. Holotype, illustrated in A.A. Ali-Zade (1969: pl. 46, fig. 6), SL: 28.0 mm, MD: 8.5 mm. Earth Science Museum at Moscow State University ( The Museum of Natural History ).

Type locality. Palantekyan Mountain Ridge ( Azerbaijan) .

Stratigraphy. Late Pliocene/Pleistocene, Akchagylian.

Discussion. The specimens represent a slender variant of the eldaricus -morph of Potamides caspius , with dominant adsutural spiral cords and reduced central cord. Early teleoconch whorls develop three weak spiral cords as typical for P. caspius .

Eastern Paratethys. Akchagylian (Late Pliocene/Pleistocene): Caspian Basin: Palantekyan Mountain Ridge ( Azerbaijan) ( Ali-Zade 1969).
