Type material. We are not aware of the whereabouts of the type specimens.

Type locality. No type locality defined. Simionescu & Barbu (1940) list the taxon from Cricova , Chişinău, Ivanoş , Japca , Slobozia ( Moldova), Matenţi-Soroca , Racoş-Bihor, Valea Lupului in Moldova and Romania .

Stratigraphy. Late Miocene, Sarmatian (Bessarabian). Discussion. A slender morph of Tiaracerithium pictum with reduced sculpture. Eastern Paratethys. Sarmatian, Bessarabian (Late Miocene): Moldavian Platform: Chişinău, Cricova, Ivanoş, Jabca, Mateuţi, Slobozia ( Moldova) Manolea, Valea Lupului ( Romania) ( Simionescu & Barbu 1940; Ionesi et al. 2005); Mehadia Basin: Valea Tudoroviţa, Valea Hamka, Valea Svinea Mare, Valea Svina Mică, Valea Kişevăţ ( Romania) (Hinculov in Iliescu et al. 1968).
