Type material. Lectotype: specimen illustrated in Eichwald (1852: pl. 7, fig. 10), designated by Švagrovský (1982: 22). PM SPSU Nr. 3/310, SL: 21 mm, MD: 7.1 mm, Zalistsi ( Ukraine).

Type locality. Zalistsi ( Ukraine) .

Stratigraphy. Middle Miocene, Badenian or Sarmatian (Volhynian).

Discussion. A subjective junior synonym of Tiaracerithium pictum , which was frequently used for Paratethyan occurrences.
