Discussion. The specimens described by Dubois de Montpéreux (1831) represent Tiaracerithium pictum and are clearly unrelated with the Eocene Gravesicerithium thiara Bruguière, 1792 .
Central Paratethys. Badenian or Sarmatian (middle/Late Miocene): Maliivtsi (Khmel'nytskyi Region, Ukraine) ( Dubois de Montpéreux 1831).
