HOLOTYPE: AMNH 682942 , male, collected at Cremona , 45.08N, 10.01E (Times Atlas), Italy, in September 1907, no. 1190. From the Rothschild Collection.

COMMENTS: Jourdain had only the type specimen from the Rothschild Collection before him when he described italiae, although he refers to other Italian specimens in BMNH ; the number 1190 is written on the Rothschild type label. Hartert (1920a: 442) noted that the collector of this specimen was Ferragni.
