Notes — Müller-Argoviensis (1860a) indicated the gathering Spruce 3345 in the prologue of A. pachypterum but did not cite in which herbarium the type would be deposited. Thus, we selected one of the most complete specimens from this collection as the lectotype of A. pachypterum (K barcode K000587715) (ICN article 9.3; Turland et al. 2018). Also, since the holotype of A. rhombeosignatum indicated by Markgraf (1971) from the herbarium Z is missing (R. Nyffeler, personal information), we selected the best-preserved specimen from the original material as the lectotype (K barcode K000587719) (ICN article 9.3; Turland et al. 2018).
