Conservation status: Fair condition; in 75% EtOH.
Additional notes: Originally described as Colobodesmus crucis Loomis, 1974 , and subsequently moved to Sphaeriodesmus crucis ( Loomis, 1974) by Bueno-Villegas et al. (2008).
