( Figure 40 View FIGURES 36 – 43 )

Creontiades brunneus Poppius, 1914: 109 View in CoL (as new species); Carvalho 1959: 74 (catalog); Schuh 1995: 743 (catalog), 2002– 2013 (online catalog).

Material examined. Type specimens: lectotype Ƌ of Creontiades brunneus (present designation): INDONESIA: JAVA: no locality given, type 9725 ( MZHF) [the specimen bears the Poppius’ original handwritten identification label with the mention “ Megacoelum brunneus n. sp. ”]. Paralectotype Ƌ (present designation): INDONESIA: JAVA: no locality given, type 9724 ( MZHF).

Diagnosis. Body chocolate brown to dark brown or black, glabrous. Head brown, eyes black; antenna with first segment thick, brownish yellow as second and third segment, latter segment yellow basally; fourth missing. Pronotal disk chocolate brown laterally, dark brown to black medially; posterior margin faintly light brown. Legs brownish yellow, tibial spines black. Scutellum brown laterally, black medially. Inner part of clavus and endocorium dark brown to black, exocorium brown, cuneus red brown laterally, black medially. Hemelytral veins raised, hemelytral punctation much reduced but very dense.

Discussion. The types of O. brunneus conform to our diagnosis of Orientomiris on the basis of their external anatomy, hence we suggest the new combination.
