Scarabaeus amazonus Linnaeus 1767: 551 View in CoL (original combination).

Cyclocephala amazona View in CoL is distributed from Costa Rica ( Ratcliffe 2003) south to Paraguay and in the Antilles (Ratcliffe and Cave 2015). Endrödi (1966) recorded a specimen labeled “Pac. Coast”. Although one of the most abundant and broadly distributed species of Cyclocephala View in CoL , it does not occur in Chile.
