Diagnosis. Among east Asian Lasioglossum , this species is characterized by a combination of following character states: head wider than long (length/width ratio 0.86–0.94 in female and 0.92–1.01 in male); IS of mesoscutum smooth over entire surface in both sexes; mesepisternum reticulate punctate over entire surface in both sexes; inner hind tibial spur of female serrate; disc of T1 medially with distinct moderately dense PP in both sexes; and female metasomal sterna with well developed scopa. The other members of villosulum group have not been found from eastern Asia.

Distribution. Widely distributed from the Palearctic to Oriental Region. In eastern Asia, this species is recorded from the following countries: North Korea, South Korea (new record), Mongolia, Siberia, Russian Far East, China, Japan, Taiwan.

Flight period in South Korea. Female: May to October. Male: July.

Flower records in South Korea. Aster yomena yomena (Asteraceae) , Lactuca indica (Asteraceae) .
