Etymology. The specific name “ sulcoa ” derives from a Latin word, indicating “a small groove” present in the aedeagus.
Diagnosis. Only species of Forcipomyia (Lepidohelea) from the Oriental realm possesses flattened, roughly square shaped aedeagus with a notch at middle of apical margin ( Fig. 4G View FIGURE 4 ); submedian process of parameres moderately long and a little outwardly directed ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ); female with a large irregular sensory pit on third maxillary palp segment ( Fig. 4K View FIGURE 4 ); single spermatheca with a neck and without hyaline punctation ( Fig. 4O View FIGURE 4 ).
Type Material. Holotype ♂, India, West Bengal, Kalimpong, Paren (27.058592 °N, 88.864915 °E), 08.v.2023, Col. G.S. Pal. GoogleMaps Paratypes 3♂♂ and 2♀♀, same data as holotype GoogleMaps .
