Distribution. India: Uttarakhand ( Walker 1858, as Psylla basalis ; Laing 1930; Mathur 1975).

Host plant. Mathur lists Quercus floribunda (Fagaceae) which is, however, an unlikely host as other Petatolyma species are associated with Ilex (Aquifoliaceae) .
