The original name Papilio philoxenus lama f. philoxenides Fruhstorfer, 1908 is an infrasubspecific name and therefore unavailable ( Racheli & Cotton 2010); philoxenides actually referred to a morphological variation of B. polyeuctes lama (Oberth ü r, 1876) from W. Sichuan.
