( Figures 89–91 View FIGURES 83 – 91. 83 – 85 , 247–250 View FIGURES 247 – 254. 247 – 250 , 301 View FIGURE 301 )

Diagnosis. This species is very similar to S. pengi in dorsal color pattern, but can be distinguished from the latter by spots on center of elytral disc distinctly smaller than spots on middle of elytral suture ( Fig. 89 View FIGURES 83 – 91. 83 – 85 ) and penis relatively slender. In S. pengi , spots on center of elytral disc are larger than spots on middle of elytral suture ( Fig. 86 View FIGURES 83 – 91. 83 – 85 ) and penis is wide with lamellar apex.

Description. TL: 2.80–2.90 mm, TW: 2.54–2.67 mm, TH: 1.46–1.48 mm, TL/TW: 1.09–1.10; PL/PW: 0.44– 0.47; EL/EW: 0.88–0.91; HW/TW: 0.37; PW/TW: 0.62.

Head dark reddish brown. Dorsal color pattern as follows ( Figs 89–91 View FIGURES 83 – 91. 83 – 85 ): Pronotum reddish brown, scutellum dark brown. Elytra predominantly yellowish brown, with moderately wide reddish band along lateral margin; band expanded at middle of lateral margin and at elytral apex. Elytra with 6 moderately large, black rounded spots disposed as follows: two resting on middle and apex of elytral suture, remaining four black spots slightly larger, at middle of basal margin (touching margin) and on disc slightly beyond half length of elytron. Underside dark brown; meso- and metaventrite black brown. Legs yellowish brown.

Body almost circular in outline, hemispherical, shiny and glabrous. Head frontal punctures fine and inconspicuous, with short setae, interocular distance of eyes 0.65x head width ( Fig. 91 View FIGURES 83 – 91. 83 – 85 ).

Pronotum punctures fine and densely distributed, 1.0–2.0 diameters apart. Elytral punctures slightly smaller than those on pronotum, 2.0–3.0 diameters apart. Elytral margins moderately explanate, entirely visible from above.

Prosternal punctures inconspicuous with scattered long setae. Mesoventral surface mat and slightly shagreened, with short sparsely distributed setae. Metaventrite covered by coarse and sparse punctures distributed at center. Elytral epipleuron broad, complete to apex, distinctly foveate to accommodate femoral tips of hind legs. Wings well-developed.

Male genitalia: Penis slender, strongly curved, capsule with small inner process and without outer one, apex pointed ( Fig. 248 View FIGURES 247 – 254. 247 – 250 ); tegmen with penis guide in lateral view long and slender, widest at base, gradually tapering to apex; slightly longer than parameres ( Fig. 249 View FIGURES 247 – 254. 247 – 250 ); parameres slender, almost straight, with short setae apically; penis guide in ventral view elongate, widest at base, tapering to apex, apex pointed ( Fig. 250 View FIGURES 247 – 254. 247 – 250 ).

Female genitalia: Ovipositor elongate and narrowly triangular, styli highly reduced, each with several long terminal setae.

Holotype: 1male, China, Hainan: Wuzhishan National Natural Reserve, Wuzhishan , [18°47.07′N, 109°31.97′E], ca 700m, viii.1995, Peng ZQ leg. ( SCAU) GoogleMaps . Paratypes (2): Hainan: 1female, same data as holotype GoogleMaps ; 1female, Jianfengling National Natural Reserve, Ledong , [18°44.49′N, 108°51.85′E], ca 840m, 28.iv.2001, Peng ZQ leg.
