Comments: The early records of Chlorochria uhleri from New Brunswick ( Walley 1929), Nova Scotia ( Parshley 1923b, Walley 1929), Connecticut ( Parshley 1917, 1923a), Georgia ( Scott & Fiske 1902), Iowa ( Hendrickson 1930), Massachusetts ( Parshley 1917, Torre-Bueno 1926), and Vermont ( Parshley 1917), and Chlorochroa ligata from Minnesota ( Lugger 1900) and New Jersey ( Smith 1890) must be misidentifications of this species as Chlorochroa persimilis is the only species of the subgenus Chlorochroa known to occur in eastern North America. Maw et al. (2000) erroneously listed this species from Alberta; this is undoubtedly based on a misidentification. This species was also recorded from Alabama, Georgia, and Pennsylvania in an unpublished thesis ( Simons 1969).
