This is the largest tribe (most genera and species) in the Pentatomidae , with members occuring throughout the Old and New Worlds. For North American genera, Blatchley (1926) and Torre-Bueno (1939b) provided keys that have now become somewhat outdated; more recently, McPherson (1982) included keys to the northeastern U.S. taxa, and Rider (2012) and Paiero et al. (2013) included keys to the taxa of the Dakotas and Ontario, respectively, which will help to identify most specimens at least to genus.
