Comments: Commonly called the twospotted stink bug, Perillus bioculatus has been studied extensively as a biological control agent for the Colorado potato beetle. This species was also recorded from Alabama in an unpublished thesis ( Simons 1969). Hoffman (1971) speculated that the records from Florida might be erroneous or adventive, although this species has been reported from Florida by at least four different workers ( Barber 1914, Altieri & Whitcomb 1979, Meed 1992, Diaz et al. 2012).
