Neodryinus diffusus Olmi 1984: 1089 .

Neodryinus diffusus Olmi: Olmi 1987 : 53.

Material examined. Types: Holotype, female, THAILAND: Trang Province, Khaophappha, Khaochang ( AMNH!). MALAYSIA: Sarawak, Sarikei District, Rejang Delta, 1 female paratype ( BPBM!). Further specimens examined: BRUNEI: Ulu Temburong, 04°26'N 115°16'E, 300 m, 16.ii–9.iii.1982, 1 male, M.C. Day coll. ( BMNH!).

Diagnosis. Female with face reticulate rugose, not sculptured by numerous parallel longitudinal keels; occipital carina incomplete, distinct on sides of posterior ocelli, laterally at least reaching 0.5 length of OOL; pronotum only with an anterior very deep transverse furrow, without a posterior impression; scutum reticulate rugose; notauli absent; enlarged claw with a small subapical tooth located very near distal apex ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 6. 1 ). Male with scutellum punctate, without sculpture among punctures, not granulated; forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands.

Redescription. Female: fully winged; length usually 4.6–5.6 mm. Head black, except mandibles reddish; antenna brown-black; mesosoma black, except lateral regions of pronotum reddish; metasoma black, except distal extremity reddish; legs brown, except tarsi brown-testaceous. Antenna clavate; antennal segments in following proportions: 27:14:77:48:34:26:18:17:15:21. Head excavated, shiny; face and vertex reticulate rugose; occiput granulated; frontal line incomplete, absent in anterior half of face; occipital carina incomplete, present behind and on sides of posterior ocelli, laterally extending beyond 0.5 length of OOL; POL = 7; OL = 7; OOL = 26; OPL = 2; temples absent. Palpal formula 6/3. Pronotum hairy, crossed by a strong transverse impression; anterior collar smooth, without sculpture; disc with some longitudinal keels; posterior edges of pronotum rounded, not produced into lobes. Scutum hairy, reticulate rugose. Notauli absent. Scutellum reticulate rugose. Metanotum short, very reduced. Propodeum reticulate rugose; posterior surface with two longitudinal keels. Forewing with two dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein much longer than proximal part. Fore trochanters about four times as long as broad. Fore tarsal segment 1 longer than segment 4 (20:14). Enlarged claw ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 6. 1 ) with a subapical tooth and a row of 13 peg-like hairs. Segment 5 of fore tarsus ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 6. 1 ) with two rows of 9 + 9 lamellae; distal apex with a group of 10 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/2.

Male: fully winged; length 3.1 mm. Head black, except mandibles testaceous; antenna brown, except segments 1–2 testaceous; mesosoma and metasoma black; legs brown, except tibiae and tarsi testaceous. Antenna filiform; antennal segments in following proportions:6:6:14:10:10:10:9:8:7:9. Head flat, dull, granulated and weakly rugose; frontal line absent; occipital carina incomplete, only present behind and shortly on sides of posterior ocelli; temples absent; POL = 5; OL = 1; OOL = 5; posterior ocelli touching occipital carina. Palpal formula: 6/3. Scutum dull, granulated. Notauli complete, posteriorly separated; minimum distance between notauli about as long as POL. Scutellum shiny, punctate, without sculpture among punctures. Metanotum shiny, smooth, without sculpture. Propodeum reticulate rugose, without transverse or longitudinal keels. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein slightly longer than proximal part (28:16). Parameres ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 7 – 10. 7 ) with dorsal process short and located proximally. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
