Distribution CI. Tenerife, Gran Canaria ( Font et al. 1999).
Host plant CI. Daucus carota (Apiaceae) .
Comments. Bactericera trigonica is a vector of ‘ Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum’ solanacearum ( Alfaro-Fernández et al. 2012; Nelson et al. 2013), a pathogen responsible for diseases of Apiaceae in Europe ( Antolínez et al. 2019; Loiseau et al. 2021) and North Africa ( Tahzima et al. 2017). In the Canary Islands, B. trigonica is considered a pest ( Font et al. 1999; Alfaro-Fernández et al. 2012).
