Range: —Venezuelan tepuis and Andes of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Bolivia (LP).

Ecology: —Rare; throughout its range apparently rather uncommon and local, found along forest edges and road banks in humid montane forests; 1570–2750 m, 600–2900 m elsewhere.

Notes: —Not mentioned for Bolivia by Gonzales & Kessler (2011), but we have reevaluated some specimens ( Fuentes 6041 UC; Kessler 11972 GOET, UC) as belonging to this species.
