Type specimens. Described based on 1 ♁ and 2 ♀ ( NHMUK; one specimen from Tefé labeled syntype).

Taxonomic references. Rothschild (1909; 1910), Hampson (1920), Watson & Goodger (1986) and Vincent & Laguerre (2014).
