DISTRIBUTION: N.E. Zaire; Central African Republic; S. Sudan; W. Uganda.

COMMENT: May be congeneric with Helogale ; see Hayman, 1936, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., ser. 10, 18: 625 -630, who also restricted type locality.

ISIS NUMBER: 5301412005026001001 as Helogale dybowskii .
