Key to species of the Embiotocidae View in CoL View at ENA

Note: coloration descriptions refer to liVe or freshly caught specimens.

1A Species occurring in East Asia [the western North Pacific; Korea, Japan, China, Sea of Japan, Yellow Sea]. Four species are known from this area: Neoditrema ransonnetii View in CoL , Ditrema jordani View in CoL , D. temminckii View in CoL , and D. viride View in CoL . The genus Ditrema View in CoL was revised by Katafuchi and Nakabo (2007) and included a key to species. Neoditrema View in CoL is distinguished from Ditrema View in CoL by number of dorsal spines; Neoditrema View in CoL VI–VIII vs. Ditrema View in CoL IX–XI.
