Habitat records. Absent.

Remarks. According to Eason (1981: 327), Lithobius platypus and L. vosseleri are putative junior synonyms of Hessebius barbipes (listed above with a question marks); probable but uncertain synonymy ( Bonato et al. 2016). Known from SE Europe ( Greece, Dodecanese), N Africa ( Egypt) ( Silvestri 1929; Chamberlin 1952), SW Asia ( Cyprus, Israel, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Turkey, NW Iran) ( Porat 1893; Verhoeff 1901, 1925; Eason 1981; Simaiakis et al. 2013; Bonato et al. 2016).
