Description. MALE. Length 3.9 mm. Head and mesosoma black, metasoma dark castaneous. Wings hyaline. Clypeus with median lobe subtrapezoidal, apical margin thick medially in frontal view, medially with diamondshaped polished area; median carina complete, high and straight in profile, angled at apical margin. Frons strongly coriaceous, punctures little distinguishable from texture surface. Frons with anterior median small callus. Vertex slightly convex. Notaulus present on anterior fourth of mesoscutum. Propodeal disc rugose. Hypopygium ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 10 – 22 ) with posterior margin strongly concave, with small median excavation. Genitalia ( Figs 32–35 View FIGURES 29 – 41 ). Basal parameral expansion long and subconical. Aedeagal ventral ramus very short, laminar, surface vertical, subelliptical in lateral view, ventral and apical margins serrate. Aedeagal dorsal body with three pairs of apical lobes, outer pair laminar, surface vertical, apex rounded and ventrad in lateral view, ventral margin with lobular expansion ventrad; ventral pair tubular, cross-section flattened, apex serrate ventrad, ventral margin with serrate dilation; inner pair stout, membranous, hairy.

FEMALE unknown.

Material examined. Holotype ♂, ZIMBABWE ( RHODESIA), Hunters Road, 12.II.1980, T.G. Grout, (SAM- HYM-P043945) ( ISAM).

Etymology. This species is named after the professor Denis Brothers, for his contribution on Aculeata phylogeny.
