( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–7. 1 )
Type locality. Brazil, Amazonas: Manacapuru ( CMNH) . Distribution. Brazil (Amazonas). Trachyderes latecinctus Martins, 1975: 88 , figs. 8, 11, 13.
Trachyderes succinctus latecinctus View in CoL ; Huedepohl, 1985: 114; Monné, M.A., 2005a: 651 (cat.).
Huedepohl (1985: 114) considered T. latecinctus View in CoL as an extreme color variation of T. succinctus (Linnaeus, 1758) View in CoL . However, to the differences listed by Martins (1975: 88) as distinctions of T. succinctus View in CoL , we add also: prosternal process abruptly truncated anteriorly and uniform color of the ventral face, entirely black or deep reddish brown. In T. succinctus View in CoL the mesosternal process is less abruptly truncated and the ventral face is reddish yellow or light reddish brown. We add a new state record for Roraima.
Specimen examined. Brazil, Roraima: Cantá, EMBRAPA Roraima, Campo Experimental Confiança, female, 23.XI.2015 (MNRJ).
