Family Ebboidae fam. nov.

Type genus. Ebboa gen. nov.

Etymology. The family name is dedicated to M. Luc Ebbo, who discovered the amber deposit of Salignac containing the specimen described herein.

Diagnosis. Macropterous; head elongate, with small eyes situated medially; antennae four­segmented, second segment longer than first and third, fourth segment the longest; pronotum and hemelytra areolate; peritrema of metapleural scent­gland opening straight; hemelytra divided into large cells by high veins, not extending far beyond apex of abdomen; tarsi three­segmented; abdomen globular.
