Description

Antennae in male bipectinate, simple filiform apically, the longest ramus about twice diameter of flagellum. Frons green. Labial palpus green. Vertex, dorsal and ventral sides of thorax, legs green.

Wing pattern. Length of forewing „ ♀ 26–30 mm. Wing pattern close to G. papilionaria , outer margin deeper scalloped than in G. papilionaria . Wings a much darker shade of green ornamented with whitish scales, the antemedial line and postmedial line on both wings edged, respectively, on outer and inner sides with strong dark green. Submarginal line white, broken on veins; discal spots distinct, dark green, short and bar-like, on underside crescent-shaped; fringes very short, dark green. Underside: similar to upperside, contrast of dark green and white very distinct.

Male genitalia ( Figures 2B , 3B ). Similar to G. papilionaria . Compared to G. papilionaria , uncus represented by a less distinct bulge; without distinct juxta.

Segment 8 ( Figure 5B ) with tergite moderately protruding, sternite slightly sclerotized and with a depression at middle, narrower than in papilionaria , flanked by two small lateral blunt processes.

Female genitalia ( Figure 4B ). Very close to those of G. papilionaria .
