Description
Antennae in male bipectinate, tapered towards end, the longest ramus about 1.5 times diameter of flagellum, simple filiform in female. Frons with upper half green, basal half white. Labial palpus dark brown. Vertex green mixed with white. Thorax with dorsal side green. Abdomen pale green to yellow brown. Hind tibia not dilated, without hair-pencil, terminal extension absent.
Wing pattern. Length of forewing „ 18–23 mm; ♀ 23–25 mm. Similar in shape to G. valida , but with antemedial and postmedial lines much narrower. Wings bright green. Forewing deeply falcate subapically; hindwing with tail process on M 3 much larger and sharper than in G. dieckmanni or G. sponsaria . Forewing with antemedial and postmedial lines similar to G. dieckmanni , but not forming distinct patch on costa, antemedial line of forewing and postmedial line of hindwing slightly curved, postmedial line much straighter than that of G. dieckmanni ; fringes white, brown at vein ends. Underside much paler.
Male genitalia ( Figures 2H View Figure 2 , 3H View Figure 3 ). Uncus shallowly convex. Socii similar to other species. Gnathos with median process slender. Valva almost same width from base to tip, slightly curved. Sacculus less than one-half valva in length, with sclerotized pointed terminal process, much shorter than in other species, and not reaching valva edge. Saccus very narrow. Aedeagus similar to that of G. symaria .
Segment 8 ( Figure 5H View Figure 5 ) with tergite membranous, sternite with a pair of small blunt processes at middle.
Female genitalia ( Figure 4H View Figure 4 ). Distinct lamella postvaginalis present. Ductus bursae very short, sclerotized, with V-shaped antrum. Corpus bursae usually long, gradually broadening towards anterior; signum crescent-shaped.
